Cleanliness Is Next to…

2-21-18_clean_clean.jpg

Ideally, we would all like to live in a dwelling that would pass muster with Better Homes and Gardens. Just one little thing gets in the way of that: Life. We’re busy. We have jobs to go to. Kids to raise. Errands to run. Activities to attend. Pets who mess things up. Share your take on how you maintain a clean and neat house – without stressing if every now and then it looks a little disheveled. Sometimes the mess we see on the outside is a reflection of our interior lives. Other times, it’s simply a matter of striking a balance between doing our best to keep things clean and not losing our minds if things get a little messy. Share your take on this topic on Wednesday with Jerry and Debbie.

Guys, What Has Brought You to Your Knees?

On Tuesday, Jerry and Debbie – and you – will go deep as we invite men to call in and share your experiences of having been driven to your knees by the circumstances of life. Perhaps it was a relationship that didn’t work out. Estrangement from a spouse or child. Realizing you couldn’t battle a certain sin on your own. Men often think it’s a sign of weakness to cry, to grieve, to be “brought to their knees” by life’s challenges. Tell us of a time when you were literally brought to your knees by things outside of your control, and how that changed your life, God-willing, for the better.

Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk

2-19-18_talk-walk.jpg

If we are to be inspiring Christian witnesses, then it is essential that we practice what we preach.  Walking the walk and talking the talk, can be difficult, especially in today’s culture.  This world is quick to remove the splinter from of our neighbor’s eye before removing the plank from our own.  To be a Christian today, we must set the bar higher and focus on being authentic.  If our goal is to win hearts for the Lord, then we must begin with ourselves. How do you live as a person of your word?  Let’s have a candid discussion on this topic.  Call us at, 1-833-288-EWTN(3986)

How Do You Keep Sundays Holy and For the Lord?

Most of us look very forward to weekends. Often that’s because they give us an opportunity to “catch up” on things that have gone unattended during the week, including things related to work. It’s an ever-increasing temptation, especially in a world that places a higher value on productivity than almost everything else. But we all know well the biblical mandate to set Sundays aside as a day of rest and to honor the Lord. How do you do your best to make sure you’re not engaging in unnecessary work or activities that prevent you from doing that? Some have to work on Sundays in order to support themselves and their families. Do you pick a different day during the week to shut down and rest? Share your take on this important subject with Jerry and Debbie on Friday.

It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

As evidenced by the latest mass school shooting in Florida, our world is increasingly lost. What a horrible tragedy. Just the latest in a long string of such incidents. Too many. One is too many. But things have gotten out of hand. On Thursday, Jerry and Debbie are going to switch from their scheduled topic to a discussion of what’s gone wrong with society. There are so many possible explanations. What’s yours? Let’s have a frank discussion about where we are, where we’re going and what we might be able to do to turn things around.

Do You Want To Grow?

2-15-18_growth.jpg

Sometimes people are afraid to grow.  They think by staying the same they can control their lives and their future.  Growth is essential both personally and more so spiritually. We must embrace challenges as an opportunity to expand, evolve and mature ourselves, thus making us more pleasing to God.  Getting out of our comfort zone can be frightening, but the growth that can happen can be life changing.  So the question is, do you want to grow, most importantly closer to God?  Let’s talk about it.  Call us at 1-833-288- EWTN.

What you have to share about your personal approach towards Lent, may inspire another soul to grow in their faith.  Therefore, your participation in this discussion is much needed and appreciated.  We are relying on you!  1-833-288-EWTN

What Person or Passage in the Bible Do You Most Identify With?

We read the Bible, hear it read at Mass and have others quote it to us. There are thousands of intriguing characters and passages contained in the Scriptures. Sometimes, we just latch on to someone or something that reminds us of ourselves and/or our life circumstances. Is there a person or passage that you can especially identify with? Call on Tuesday and share it with Jerry and Debbie.

Dressing For Success

There was a time when men wore suits to almost all occasions, including work, and even to the ballpark to watch a game. Same with women, who would wear dresses in similar environments. A lot has changed, to the point where many corporations encourage their employees to come to work “casual,” which sometimes even means worn out jeans and a wrinkled T-shirt. This is to say nothing of the changes in the way people dress to attend Mass. On Friday, share your take with Jerry and Debbie on how this has changed during your lifetime, and if you think it’s a good or bad thing..
