We all have people who have made our lives different, whether it be preserving our freedoms or teaching us to be good and God-fearing people. Be sure to call early on Friday to make sure you get through to share your take with Jerry and Debbie about who it is you are remembering in a special way this weekend!

Parenting in a Demonic Culture

What can you say? Kids today are more vulnerable than ever to the influences of evil. That’s especially true with the easy access they have to the Internet, social media, etc. Parents have a tougher job today than ever. But there are things that can be done to ensure that children aren’t subject to what parents want them to avoid. Religious demonologist Adam Blai will share his expertise with you and Jerry and Debbie on today’s show. Don’t miss it!

Have You Heard of Sacred Polyphony?

Chances are, while you may not have known what it’s called, you’ve almost certainly experienced polyphony. It’s a type of singing that consists of two or more simultaneous lines of independent melody. Polyphony becomes “sacred” when what’s being sung are hymns of praise to God. Monday, Jerry and Debbie will be joined by Chris Mueller, whose ensemble, Ars Mueller, produces exceptionally beautiful sacred polyphony. In a world where so much music has little or no characteristics of beauty, you’ll be inspired by this conversation.

Was the Fatima Consecration Properly Done?

This ought to be a lively conversation on Friday, which marks the 99th anniversary of the first appearance of Mary to the children at Fatima. Dr. Mark Miravalle, one of the Church’s leading Mariologists, will join Jerry and Debbie to discuss the Virgin Mary’s request at Fatima that the Holy Father consecrate the world – and Russia in particular – to her Immaculate Heart. Some say it was done correctly, while others contend that it wasn’t. Mary said there would be a period of peace following the consecration. If so, what gives? The world seems to be less at peace now than it has in a very long time. We’ll sort all of this out – and welcome your takes and questions. Don’t miss it!

Are You a Parish-Hopper?

As Catholic Christians, we understand that the Church is made up of (arch)dioceses and parishes. Each of us resides within the boundaries of a particular parish. Even though we are not required by canon law to register with or attend the nearest parish, that is most often what we end up doing. At times, people deem it necessary to examine a variety of options before settling on a parish. Others may frequently change parishes, citing any number of reasons for doing so. Is this a healthy or unhealthy phenomenon? Are people’s reasons for “parish-hopping” legitimate? Have you had this experience? Share your take with Jerry and Debbie on Thursday’s show!

How Well Do You Listen to Others?

It’s often said that what people want most is simply to be recognized, listened to, respected for their inherent worth and dignity. For that to happen, there have to be those who are very good at listening to what others have to say. How well do you do that? Are you able to enter into a conversation with someone and “hear them out” when they try to describe for you who they are and what’s going on in their life? Obviously, a conversation implies that more than one person will engage in talking. But the importance of being a good listener can’t be overstated. Share your take with Jerry and Debbie on Tuesday’s show!
