In today’s world, there are more ways than ever to ignore God, to run from Him, to avoid hearing His voice. When we’re young we give almost no thought to the fact that one day we will die. In fact, we give little thought to the time fast approaching when we will begin living day to day with physical limitations and all sorts of aches and pains. There are types of shame that serve good purposes, especially those we experience when we have done something we know we shouldn’t have done.
