Watching Out For Scams

It’s hardly a secret these days that some very unscrupulous people are out to get you. Typically this comes in the form of trying to talk you out of large sums of money. They are frauds, but they are extremely intelligent and quite good at what they do. They realistically take on the persona and language of companies you do business with. Have you been the victim of a scam? Have you been approached by scammers, but figured them out before it was too late? On Tuesday, Jerry and Debbie will welcome you to call with your own personal experience. As always, you will be teaching and inspiring many others who will be tuned in.

Do You Pray Over Your Unborn (and Born) Children?

We know the importance of prayer in the family. Many parents gather their children for an evening Rosary, not to mention praying before meals and going to Mass. What about those family members who are still unborn in their mothers’ wombs? Many studies have shown that children growing in the womb can be affected by many things, including their moms and dads talking to them, playing certain soothing music for them, etc. As you are/were expecting the delivery of your children, do you also pray over them in the womb? We have only to turn to the account of St. John the Baptist leaping in his mother’s womb to know that the unborn can take in a lot more than we might imagine. Why not get started praying with them from the moment of conception? We’ll talk about this on Tuesday’s show.

Forgiven, But Not Forgotten

On Monday, we kick off another week of shows with you at the center of them all. Take 2 With Jerry and Debbie “and You” has become our new slogan. You’re always there for us, to provide great wisdom and insights that we all gain from. To start the week, we’ll take a look at the subject of forgiveness, and how, sometimes, we manage to forgive, but never forget what someone has done to harm us. Please tune in, and be sure to call in, with your thoughts on this topic.

Have You Caught Yourself Going Down a Rabbit Trail on the Internet?

Like so many other things, God has blessed the world with the technology to communicate and gather information immediately. The Internet is the best example of that. Is it possible to spend so much time online that our minds – and fingers – wander, ultimately taking us down this or that rabbit trail? It’s important to use the Internet with intentionality and self-discipline. Otherwise, we can find ourselves in dangerous territory. Let’s talk about this on Thursday’s show.

In the News

On Monday, Jerry and Debbie kick off a new week of shows by welcoming your calls on anything that’s happening in the news. Of course, there are all the “big” news items. You can certainly call and comment on one of those. But we especially like to hear about things that are going on in your neighborhood, city, or region, that may have otherwise missed the attention of our other listeners. Looking forward to you joining us on Monday!

Have You Ever Been Given the Silent Treatment?

It’s what’s known as the “silent treatment.” Someone you’re close to, in many cases even immediate family members, shun you and simply refuse to talk to you or have any interaction with you. Sometimes you’re left wondering what you did or said to cause that to happen. Maybe you know what that is, but don’t see to be able to resolve the situation or be reconciled to the other person due to them not talking to you. This can be one of the harshest and cruelest manners in which others treat us. Let’s talk about this on Wednesday’s show.

Whom or What Are You Praying For?

We just wrapped up a great “Schools Week” of programs, thanks to you and your great participation. We may consider doing other week-long series in the future. Let us know what you think. In the meantime, we’ve been offering our prayer shows for a few years, and, understandably, they are always very busy. On Monday, let us know what you’re praying for, so we can share those intentions with the global Take 2 Family. We look forward to the honor of praying for what’s important to you.
