Life is a miracle!

every_breath_5-19-16.jpg

Just look at a busy freeway.  So many things could go wrong and sometimes do, but for the most part, a busy freeway seems to perform in a miraculous way.  Look at our environment.  There are many dangers present, yet we are able to thrive amongst the threats.  Do you feel that every breath we take, every moment we are alive is truly a miracle?  If so, then how do we respond to this?  What glory and praise do we offer to God?  Let’s chat about this on Thursday’s Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie.  Call in and be part of the discussion at 1-800-585-9396.

Stress can be a killer!

StressWe have all heard it said that stress is a killer.  The word stress is used loosely but it really impacts us greatly.  Stress does in fact cause damage to our bodies and our emotional health.  Stress can manifest itself in many ways.  Our spiritual growth can be stunted or even damaged all due to stressors in our life that have taken a toll on us.  Is stress allowed by God?  Is stress exploited by the dark one in an attempt to keep us distracted?  Let’s talk about where stress comes from and what the Bible tells us we can do to combat the stressors in our life.  Join the conversation at 1-800-585-9396.

That is not what I meant…

misunderstood-t2 (1)

People hear and absorb want they want to.  You may have the best of intentions and still it is received incorrectly by friends and family.  This can cause frustration on both sides of a relationship.  Maybe you are just too drained to try and rectify situations.  So what would be the healthy thing for you to do as a Christian.  Let’s discuss it on Monday’s show.  Share your experience at 1-800-585-9396.

Was the Fatima Consecration Properly Done?

This ought to be a lively conversation on Friday, which marks the 99th anniversary of the first appearance of Mary to the children at Fatima. Dr. Mark Miravalle, one of the Church’s leading Mariologists, will join Jerry and Debbie to discuss the Virgin Mary’s request at Fatima that the Holy Father consecrate the world – and Russia in particular – to her Immaculate Heart. Some say it was done correctly, while others contend that it wasn’t. Mary said there would be a period of peace following the consecration. If so, what gives? The world seems to be less at peace now than it has in a very long time. We’ll sort all of this out – and welcome your takes and questions. Don’t miss it!

Are You a Parish-Hopper?

As Catholic Christians, we understand that the Church is made up of (arch)dioceses and parishes. Each of us resides within the boundaries of a particular parish. Even though we are not required by canon law to register with or attend the nearest parish, that is most often what we end up doing. At times, people deem it necessary to examine a variety of options before settling on a parish. Others may frequently change parishes, citing any number of reasons for doing so. Is this a healthy or unhealthy phenomenon? Are people’s reasons for “parish-hopping” legitimate? Have you had this experience? Share your take with Jerry and Debbie on Thursday’s show!

All of Life is a Prayer!

pray-at-work-t2

When we fully allow God into our lives, fully rely on Him, all of life becomes a prayer.  We can thank God for everything we are able to do.  We can ask God for strength during the stressful times.  We can praise God for all the wonderful blessings that surround us.  We can beg God for relief during the most difficult of situations.  Every breath we take, and move we make, can be a form of prayer.  Communicating with God in our words, thoughts, and deeds gives daily life meaning and purpose.  Life becomes so much more enjoyable when it is aligned with prayer.  Let’s have a conversation about this topic. Please call in at 1-800-585-9396.

How Well Do You Listen to Others?

It’s often said that what people want most is simply to be recognized, listened to, respected for their inherent worth and dignity. For that to happen, there have to be those who are very good at listening to what others have to say. How well do you do that? Are you able to enter into a conversation with someone and “hear them out” when they try to describe for you who they are and what’s going on in their life? Obviously, a conversation implies that more than one person will engage in talking. But the importance of being a good listener can’t be overstated. Share your take with Jerry and Debbie on Tuesday’s show!
