“I’ve Been Healed!”

There is a tremendous amount of pain and suffering in the world. Almost no one is immune from it, whether it is you going through it, or someone you love. If Jesus is anything, He’s a healer. Yep, He’s still in the healing “business.” Have you turned to Him in your time of need? Did you get the healing you so badly wanted or needed? If so, on Tuesday let’s all be like the one leper who returned to Jesus after He healed all ten of them, and tell the world how grateful we are for what the Lord has done for us. And, remember, healings come in all types – physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, financial, etc. So, no matter how God has come to your aid, please join us and share it with the world.

What Memory/Memories Have You Tried to Forget?

One of the beautiful gifts of being alive is that we can recall so many things from the past. A lot of them are happy memories, while some can be very painful. How many times have you said, “I’d rather forget about that?” Are you successful in erasing the negative memories from your mind? Perhaps you have come to a place of acceptance and peace with regard to things you would rather never think about again. On Tuesday, let’s talk about this and grow together in our knowledge of how we can live with – and even move beyond – memories we’re just as soon forget.

“I Know That God Exists!”

We know that faith is a gift that comes to each individual from God. Why some act upon that gift, while others don’t, is a mystery known only to Him. The truth is, however, that faith is not necessary for man to come to the conclusion that God truly exists. Philosophers dating back millennia have managed to arrive at the existence of God using reason alone. St. Thomas Aquinas, whose feast day we celebrate on Tuesday, developed what are commonly referred to as his “five ways” to prove God’s existence. What we want to hear from you about on Tuesday’s show is not a philosophical or theological explanation for the existence of God. Rather, we want to hear how He has unmistakably revealed Himself to you at some point in your life, blessing you, helping you, healing you, forgiving you, leading you on the right path. We can all point to these instances in our lives when we take a little time to reflect on it. We look forward to hearing from you.

Are You Thankful For Your Job?

Human labor is a big part of man’s dignity. This goes all the way back to the Book of Genesis, where God takes Adam and puts him in the Garden of Eden to work the land and take care of it. Of course, work is also vital to the lives of all of us who have to keep a roof over our heads, who have mouths to feed, and so on. Being happy and content in your job is a tremendous gift. It can add so much to your overall quality of life. On Friday, we’ll ask you to call in and share why you’re thankful for your job, for the skills God has given you, for your physical abilities that allow you to perform your job duties, etc. Let’s end the week of live broadcasts with another impactful conversation!

Unspoken Witness

It’s often noted that people will be more open to the gospel based on what we do, rather than on what we say. We’re called to be open about our faith, without being showy or looking for attention. We are not to shy away from praying in public (such as before a meal at a restaurant), helping the poor, standing up for life by praying outside an abortion clinic, and lots more. It can be so uplifting and reassuring when we see others living their faith in a quiet, yet visible, way. Has that ever happened to you? Have you been going about your daily life, only to see someone make and unspoken witness to Jesus Christ? Let’s talk about this on Wednesday.

Throwing Away the Faith

We all face crises when it comes to faith and morality. The Christian life is meant to be a battle to the finish line, to “persevere to the end” as the Bible exhorts us. Sadly, some get weary from the fight, and decide that it’s easier to throw away their faith than it is to continue to struggle to live in a manner their consciences tell them they must. On Monday and Tuesday, Jerry and Debbie have dedicated two shows to this important topic. If you or someone you know has abandoned the faith in favor of a lifestyle that’s in contradiction to the faith, let’s talk about it. Maybe we can use the Holy Spirit’s inspiration and discern how we might help to bring them back home.
