Hmmm…strange question, huh? You could be anywhere on a particular Sunday. But, here’s the deal for Thursday’s show. If you attend Mass on Sunday (or Saturday evening), do you realize that you are at one and the same time at the foot of Calvary and partaking of the wedding feast of the Lamb in Heaven? Mass is THAT important. We have to know where we are and what we’re doing when we assist at Mass. (By the way, “assisting” at Mass doesn’t necessarily mean being involved in some sort of ministry, such as lector or Extraordinary Ministry of Holy Communion. It means actively participating in the prayer and worship of God being offered by the Church). We can’t just punch the clock and get it over with. So, call with your takes about how you stay focused at Mass, how you prepare for Mass, how you keep from having your mind wander to all sorts of things but what is going on right in front of you. Can’t wait to talk with you on Thursday!

Catholics and Alcohol
On Wednesday, we’ll look forward to your takes on how Catholics – indeed, all people – should approach the subject of alcohol consumption. Some, for very good reasons, stay completely away from it. Others drink to excess, which can cause all sorts of problems. The Church teaches that we can enjoy all of God’s creations (as long as they are not morally objectionable) in moderation. St. Paul even counseled Timothy to drink some wine as partial cure for some of his illnesses. And if you look at the history of beer, it’s been Catholic monks who have led the way for centuries in the art of brewing. Get this: there’s even an International “Buy a Priest a Beer” day. Seriously – http://www.catholicgentleman.net/2014/09/good-heavens-international-buy-priest-beer-day/. So, what’s your take on drinking alcohol? Let us and the world know on Wednesday!

How Have You Found God in Nature?
The Bible speaks often about nature and creation, especially, of course, in the Book of Genesis, where God looks upon what He had made and called it “very good.” Scripture even talk about nature “praising God.” Today, we’re going to talk about how we can find God in nature, without going so far as to believe that nature IS God. Share your takes with Jerry and Debbie!

Actions speak much louder than words!
Best example of this Christian principle is Blessed Mother Teresa… This quote of hers sums up how we should view others and treat others… “I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper’s wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?”
Join us at Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie as we grow together as the Body of Christ and learn how to be Catholic Christians through our actions, maybe even without uttering a single word…
See YOU Tuesday 9am Pacific, 11am Central, and Noon Eastern…
Clear Away the Clutter, to Clear the Path to GOD!
Clutter can be overwhelming and distracting…Decluttering your surroundings can naturally lead to a more spiritual life. A life focused on God. It is a freeing exercise to rid oneself of excess “stuff” and to simplify. Join us Monday on Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie as we discuss the process of decluttering. How easy it is, and the effect it has almost immediately on our life~all for the good!!!
Remember, the definition of clutter is to fill or cover something with many things.
The definition of declutter is to organize and prioritize.
It is obvious which one is better for our spiritual growth…
Share your “take” with us at 9am Pacific, Noon Eastern…
Is the Assumption an Assumption?
Many people – both Catholics and non-Catholics – have no idea what to make of the Church’s teaching on the Virgin Mary’s bodily assumption into Heaven. Is it historical? Is there anything in the Bible that supports it? Did Mary die before being taken into Heaven? Lots of questions surround this very important Catholic teaching. We’ll discuss it – and include your takes – on Friday’s show. We’re very close to lining up a guest who knows a LOT about this topic. So, don’t miss it!
