Where Are You?

4-24-2018--journey

Our spiritual life is a complex journey.  We can be in the seeking mode, on fire for the Lord stage, in a dry phase or maybe just ambivalent when it comes to the faith.  Wherever you are on the quest to know, love and serve God, that is the reality of the situation. It is kind to affirm one another on the spiritual path, but it is truly a gift when we can inspire others to grow deeper in their faith.  Let’s have a real discussion on where we are at, and where we would like to be with God.  Call us at 1-833-288-3986.

From Tragedy to Triumph

4-16-2018-tragedy.jpg

Many people experience real tragedies in their lives. They’re in a serious accident, receive a brutal health diagnosis, are betrayed by someone in whom they put a great deal of trust. The examples are endless. At the time these things happen to us, it can seem like nothing good will ever come from them. And a lot of people do struggle with tragedies for the remainder of their lives. Others somehow, some way, come to a place of looking back on their tragedy and seeing how it was a tremendous blessing in their lives. Has this happened to you? If so, call and inspire us all with your story. 1-833-288-3986.

I Am Loving, Kind and Compassionate

4-12-2018-3 little words.jpg

What are the top 3 affirmative words that best describe you?  This is not an exercise to be prideful or even boastful.  But rather this is a healthy way of acknowledging the wonderful characteristics God bestowed on us.  We are created in His image and likeness so when we recognize these great gifts, it surely must bring Him delight.  Please call in and share with us the 3 words that you identify with.  If you truly feel that sharing your faults accurately describes you, then by all means please express that as well.  However, we have found that when we focus on the beneficial things about us, they just naturally expand in all areas of our lives.  To be on the show, call us at 1-833-288-3986.

I never expected to feel that way the day I retired

4-11-2018-retire.jpg

My (Debbie’s) sister recently retired after 42 years of full-time employment.  We were all, as a family, waiting for that special day when she didn’t have to drive 45 minutes each way to work and she could focus her time on her grandkids instead having to go to bed early to get ready for the next days work.  Well that day came and we all thought that my sister would be jumping up and down for joy but she shared with us that it was strange feeling saying goodbye and turning in her keys.  Did you feel that way when you retired?  Was it a bittersweet experience?  Maybe now after retirement has set in, you are more active than ever.  Maybe it took some time but now you are feeling free again.  Share with us your experience of retirement.  We want to learn and grow from you!  1-833-288-3986.

That is not what I said

4-9-2018-Communication

Communication is listed as one of the top reasons why relationships, businesses and organizations break down.  We live in a world where the communication methods are at an all time high technological level, yet we still have difficulty maintaining proper lines of effective communication.  Is it because we are moving so fast in this world that we don’t stop to really decipher what is being said?  Maybe we are so used to talking and we have become uncomfortable with truly listening.  Let’s talk about the art of communication and how it relates to our faith life.  Call in on Monday to: 1-833-288-3986.

They’re talking about me

4-5-2018-gossip

It is all too common to gather around the water cooler at work, school or even at the parish and partake in a little gossip.  It may seem harmless and it may even be a bit exciting to spread the news about others.  But did you know that gossiping about another person is a form of killing their reputation.  This could be considered breaking the Fifth Commandment, thou shalt not kill.  Gossip hurts people and hurts the soul. Why is it then that we accept gossip as a way of life.  The world tells us it is ok, but as Catholic Christians we should know better and work to shield ourselves from it.  Share with us your “take” on this topic.  Call us at 1-833-288-3986.

Honey, I’m Home!

3-27-18_ home (1)

Are you frazzled when you get home from a hard day’s work?  Or maybe you are just so excited to leave work at the door and be with your family.  Possibly, you need a bit of “me time” which includes a glass of wine or a cold beer before entering into your household.  There are many ways we decompress from our work.  Some folks even take a walk before heading home just to clear their minds of the daily pressures.  It is hard to separate work and home.  Let’s chat about this and more on Tuesday’s Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie.  Call us and share how you give your best at work and at home. 1-833-288-3986.

The Adventure of Life

3-20-18_ Do you embrace life.jpg

The question we are asking on Tuesday’s show is this, do you embrace life?  Do you accept all that life has to offer, which includes the ups, downs, twists and turns. Life is an adventure.  If we allow ourselves to experience every element of this incredible journey then life becomes an extraordinary experience similar to that of an amusement park roller coaster ride.  So many emotions are felt on a roller coaster.  That is what life is like.  So where are you with this question.  Do you embrace life or do you endure life?  Please share with us your life’s journey so that we can learn and grow from what you have to share.  1-833-288-3986(EWTN).

Bucket of Tears

3-15-18_tears.jpg

What fills us with sorrow, what pains us? We have shed so many tears in hopes that God hears us.  If you could fill a vessel with the tears that have been poured out from your heart, what size vessel would that fill?  A coffee cup, or a paint bucket, or maybe even a 50-gallon container or more. Our tears are never wasted but they sure do add up.  Let’s talk about this and more on Thursday’s Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie.  Call in and share from real emotion. 1-833-288-3986.
