A once-famous Saturday Night Live skit featured a character named “Stuart Smalley,” who was known for saying, “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.” It was part of the character’s “Daily Affirmations,” a method of overcoming self-doubts and feelings of unworthiness.
