As we always say, Take 2 With Jerry and Debbie is all about taking a fresh, unique look at issues that touch each of our lives. Monday, we’ll examine how we read newspapers. What’s that, you say? Well, you’ll have to tune in for the full story (pun intended). Suffice it to say that your local or national paper is laid out in such a way as to draw your attention to specific sections and places first. There’s a whole psychology to newspaper layout. Not to mention the reporting of most major newspapers (can you say “bias?”). It’s all designed to send you a distinct message that goes way beyond the headlines and the details of the stories. In other words, to manipulate you. Be with us on Monday for what should be a very informative show!

Hi — Enjoy your show. Wanted to add 2 things about nature. When in Denali Nat’l Park, Alaska last year, we were blessed to become part of the 1/3 Club — That is, only 1/3 of all the people who come to view Mt. McKinley actually get to see it. 2/3 of the time it is covered in clouds. Well, we got to view it, I felt so blessed by it. And all I can say is that it looked like God had taken a paintbrush and painted Mt. MtKinley on a beautiful canvas. that’s what I thought when I viewed it and the picture is forever sketched in my mind.
Also, when our daughter was about 7, she said to me one day while driving in the car “look at the sun — doesn’t it look like the Eucharist???
