True Happy Hour is spent in Holy Hour!

untitled (3)

The world tells us to look forward to Fridays…A chance for us to shelve our problems, forget about work and unwind with what we’ve been told is “happy” hour.  But, the question still remains, does “happy” hour really make us truly happy?  Let’s discuss the real “happy” hour…a Holy Hour with Jesus.  Instead of being filled with “happy” hour food and drink, how about being filled with the unconditional love HE has for us just waiting in the Blessed Sacrament!

Let’s talk about how this world created a clever marketing strategy and convinced many of us that we need “happy hour” instead of HOLY HOUR.  Amen?

Call in and share your wisdom on this topic…we want and need to hear from you!

Supporting Our Veterans

We’ve all heard the phrase, “It’s a thankless job.” While many people are very conscious of the sacrificial efforts made by our military personnel, a lot of others never really think to show them their gratitude. How very different our lives would be without the brave men and women who serve and safeguard our freedom. On Wednesday – Veteran’s Day – call with your takes about the individuals you know (or have known) who served in any branch of the military. We look forward to hearing from you at Noon ET (with a re-airing at Midnight ET)!

What Should Life’s Milestones Mean For Us?

Life moves on, whether we like it or not. Hopefully, it’s “all good.” We reach milestones all the time. Our first birthday. Our First Communion. Learning to ride a bike. Turning eighteen. Graduating from college. Getting married. Having our first child. And then there are incredible milestones, like turning fifty! That’s the big event for Debbie on Monday. Please call and help us celebrate her big day! And share your takes on the milestones that have had an impact in your life. Can’t wait to talk to you!

How Have We Become So Violent?

It seems it wasn’t that long ago when a minor fisticuff between two people was cause for alarm. Surely, the types of violence we now see on our streets, and in our homes and schools, was gigantic news. Tragically, it’s all too familiar to us today, as evidenced by the frequent news reports of horrific violence. While people treating one another violently is nothing new (recall Cain’s slaying of Abel in the book of Genesis), how is it that it’s become so commonplace that we often seem desensitized to it? That’s the topic on Wednesday when Jerry and Debbie welcome your takes on this important discussion. Tune in and call in at Noon ET/  9 a.m. PT (with an encore broadcast at Midnite ET/ 9 p.m. PT)!

Do You Vote Catholic?

We often see the bumper stickers that proclaim, “I’m Catholic and I Vote.” While that may have one time made politicians and others stand up and take notice, does it really matter anymore? Is there such thing as the “Catholic vote” today? What should we think or do about all of the so-called Catholics who don’t vote like Catholics? This is the important topic that Jerry and Debbie will discuss – with your takes – on Tuesday. Don’t miss the show!
