That doesn’t mean that there’s only one style of music that achieves those ends. The key is to acknowledge the gift the Lord has given you, and put it to the best and most noble use possible. On the surface, it may appear as though kindness is a lost art, especially when we look at the condition of the world today. But we’re also seeing many beautiful acts of kindness and self-giving, even in the midst of a global pandemic and civil unrest. Our Response to Injustices, Part II

We received a ton of feedback from Tuesday’s show on how we should respond to injustices. We had already bumped one scheduled topic to accommodate that vital discussion. And, based on listener response following that show, and into today, we will have part two of this discussion on Wednesday. Please be sure you listen closely, and feel free to join the conversation!

God has instilled in mankind a spirit of exploration and creation. This has resulted in the advancement of technology at an almost dizzying pace over the last generation or so. Sometimes when we talk about the machines and devices we once used, it sounds like the “I walked to school every day, uphill, barefoot, in the snow” statement. But one need not be all that old to remember what today are outmoded items like a rotary dial phone, a VCR, old time laundry machines, polaroid cameras, and so forth. On Wednesday, let’s take a look at some of the things that you remember using. Do you have fond memories of those items? Would you go back to using them if you could (especially the telephone, given how many problems have arisen with smartphones)? Join in the conversation on our next broadcast.

How Should We Respond to Injustices?

The recent tragedy involving the death of George Floyd in a Minneapolis neighborhood has led to a combination of peaceful protests, violence, looting of stores and more, across the United States and around the world. While it’s never a good time for something like this to happen, it’s especially crippling as we have recently been on the verge of reopening from the COVID-19 shutdown. Floyd’s death, and many of the ensuing responses to it, have again brought into focus the need to examine how we ought to respond to injustices such as this. As Catholic Christians, we know how important justice is to maintaining a peaceful society – “Know Justice, Know Peace; No Justice, No Peace.” On Tuesday, share your take on how we should respond to, not only the George Floyd tragedy, but to the countless injustices that are wrought on our world each and every day.
