How Do Men View Women Today?

On Tuesday, we had a very lively discussion about Pope Francis’ homily on the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, in which our Holy Father strongly emphasized the dignity of women, and how they are still too often degraded and seen solely as objects of pleasure in today’s world. Next, we want to hear what the men have to say about how you view women, their dignity, how they are to be respected, etc. Guys, let’s step up big on Wednesday and assure the world that there is still a tremendous amount of respect for women and their dignity.

Pope Francis gave a stirring homily on the dignity of women on the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. Tying it all in to the great role played in salvation history by Our Blessed Mother, he entrusted this entire year to Mary. On Tuesday, Jerry and Debbie will discuss this homily, and will invite all women to call and share what it means to you. Do you truly feel respected and honored in today’s world? How do you feel about the many abuses that are still perpetrated against women, which Pope Francis referred to as being “sacrificed on the profane altars of advertising, profiteering, and pornography?” Does reflecting on the Virgin Mary cause you to feel the profound dignity that you share with her as a woman? This should be an uplifting conversation, and we hope you will join us with your take.

Ten-Eighteen

T2 Dec 26 2019- 10-18.jpg

We are asking ten to eighteen year olds, with parents’ permission, if they can call in and share their views of God and the Faith.  How does our youth see God?  How do they explain God to their peers?  We know that most kids are back in school after the holiday break so if parents want to call in and share what their teens have told them about God, that would be helpful as well.  1-833-288-3986.

What Are Your Hopes for 2020?

Each year as we turn the final page on a calendar and enter a new year, there’s a certain sense of anticipation, longing, hope, desire. While we can change the entire world by ourselves, we can do our small part to make it a better place for everyone. As you look around you – in your home, city, parish, state, country, or even around the world – what are your deepest hopes for 2020? Share them with Jerry and Debbie and the world on Friday’s show.

Whom Or What Are You Praying For?

As we begin a new year of shows, what better way to do so than to gather one another’s prayer intentions and offer them to the Lord. Each month we dedicate the first live show to asking you, “Whom Or What Are You Praying For?” We know you have deep, heartfelt intentions. And we also know that there is power in prayer, especially among the Take 2 Family. So, please join us by phone, text, e-mail or social media comment and let us know what we can pray for.

Millennials on the Frontlines

Millennials On the Frontlines
We’re living in times when it’s more important than ever to take a strong and courageous stand for the truths of our Catholic faith. We’re also seeing incredible opposition and hatred toward the Church and her beliefs, perhaps especially among young adults. Today, we hear from millennials who are on the frontlines in the culture war, and how you face paying the price of losing friends (and even alienating family members who don’t believe) when you hold firm to your faith. It should be another impactful conversation, one which we hope will provide new encouragement to our millennial brothers and sisters.

Balance in Life

Balance in all areas of life is generally the key to a real healthy existence.  Now there are some exceptions in every situation, but balance in life proves to be beneficial in mind, body and spirit.  When we are in balance, then things run smoothly and every area of our life seems to flourish.  When someone appears to be having a rough time, you can almost always zero in on a certain aspect of their life that is suffering. Creating balance in life seems simple on the surface, yet we still have so many folks struggling to keep life steady.  Let’s talk about this concept and see how it applies to our lives.  Call in with your experience at 1-833-288-3986.

Please – Keep the Lights Up!

Please Keep The Lights Up!

We as Christians must remember that we are in the Christmas season now. The lights should stay up and the celebration of our Lord’s birth must continue. But how many of us give in to the world, and the day after Christmas we start packing away the ornaments? The world would like us to make Christmas one big commercial day (following, of course, several weeks [months?] of trying to get you to buy anything and everything under the sun). But for us, Jesus’ birth changes everything for all of eternity. Let’s stay in the season and enjoy every moment telling the world that a Savior is Born!

How Have You Been Blessed This Year?

On Monday, Jerry and Debbie will be asking you to share with the world how richly you have been blessed this year. Gratitude is so important to a healthy, balanced life. In fact, many say it’s the key to happiness. The more grateful we are for what we have, the less we will think about what we don’t have, or what we wish we had. And, remember, blessings can come in many forms, including through hardships. So, let’s talk about this on Monday’s show.
