Is Chivalry Gone Forever?

Chivalry-t2.jpg

In my (Jerry’s) experience, there is a growing number of women who don’t want the door held for them, men who won’t hold the door for anyone, etc. With the increase in women serving in what were once traditionally men’s roles (military, firefighting, law enforcement, etc), have they brought upon themselves a diminished appreciation for their femininity on the part of men? Have they come to a place where they think it is too “vulnerable” of them to allow someone to treat them like a “lady?” One has to wonder nowadays if a ship were going down, would the men rush the women and children to the lifeboats first?  Interested to know what Debbie’s “take” on this is?  Let’s talk about if chivalry is gone forever.  Call in at 1-800-585-9396.

Till Differences Do Us Part?

broken_marriage.jpg

Problems happen in marriage.  Differences naturally occur.  But is this a reason to divorce? Or can these obstacles bring forth a greater sense of holiness if we allow God to rule and we set egos aside.  Let’s discuss marriage in a real and genuine way.  Call in and share your perspective on this important topic. 1-800-585-9396.

Whom Are You Fighting For?

u_fighting4.jpg

There are times in life when we are so down, so discouraged, even in a state of despair. It’s during those times that prayer seems impossible. And it’s at those times that we carry one another, much like those who lowered the paralytic down through the roof to be healed by Jesus. When we are engaged in deep prayer for someone who either can’t pray, or doesn’t know that he needs prayer, we are actually “doing battle” on behalf of his soul. Let’s ask our listeners if there’s someone they know (or even don’t know) whom they are “fighting” for in prayer.
Our listeners are you!
So please call in at 1-800-585-9396

One of Jerry’s favorite prayers: “Jesus, I can’t. You can. Please do.” Keep it simple!

Respectful Dress

homeboy-t2 (1).jpg

Please take a real good look at this picture and decide for yourself if this style of dress, while attempting to be cool, is in fact truly disrespectful on many levels.  Maybe you feel that any image of our Lord displayed is better than no image at all.  Or possibly you feel passionately that this fashion style diminishes the sacredness of our Lord.  Take 2 is all about discussing topics like this so that we can walk away with a better understanding of ourselves and also our Catholic Faith.  Join us in this discussion by calling 1-800-585-9396.

Am I My Brother’s Keeper?

brother-keeper-t2.jpg

All around us are people who need our support. Perhaps most especially are our family members. We all have brothers, sisters, parents, children who are wandering in search of God’s love. Perhaps they have offended us, and we want nothing to do with them. But, yes, we do have a responsibility to help them find their way back.  We are all called to build up the Body of Christ.  Share your thoughts on this topic by calling 1-800-585-9396.

I always wanted to be a…

career

Is it ok to dream about what we could have been in life?  A doctor, lawyer, professional basketball player or a rock star? Some have made these dreams a reality while others simply carry these hidden unfulfilled desires deep inside as life continues to move on.  As Catholic Christians, is it the best use of our time to dream what could have been or should we develop the God-given talents that are in our midst?  Sometimes we are chasing a dream and God may have other plans for us.  Share your life experience with us by calling 1-800-585-9396.

Exercise-Last Day of Life

This exercise is for you to use in your religious education groups, your family, even with a group of friends.  The feedback from participants of this exercise is simply amazing!  There is a greater sense of gratitude for things taken for granted.  There is a deep sense of wanting a connection with God.  Everything from this exercise is positive and can only help us appreciate each moment of life.  If you choose to do the exercise, please feel free to provide us with your experience.  God Bless, Debbie and Jerry

Kids and Faith

Kids_jesus.jpg

Childlike faith is what we are called to embrace.  So we are going right to the children to help us grow in our own faith.  With parents help and permission, we are asking kids to call in and share their knowledge and understanding of Jesus.  What kind of relationship do they have with Jesus?  What does being a Christian mean to them?  Children are very authentic and their takes on this topic can certainly be a reminder to us all that our youth are absorbing everything that we present to them and more importantly model for them about Jesus.  It is time to listen and learn from the Take 2 little ones.  Our number is: 1-800-585-9396.
