My favorite saint now is St. Pope John Paul II. I love this man for the strength and courage he exhibited during the devastating time of destruction and carnage in Poland. Despite of all his losses family deaths, incarceration, emotional upheavals during the Nazi horror show his faith never wavered. He models redemptive suffering for me. God guided him into his priesthood and the rest is History. I love his World Youth Day tradition and his legacy, the institution of Divine Mercy Sunday, the Theology of the Body, and the Canonization of St. Maria Faustina. St. Pope JP II please pray for us
