My grandpa Arville who was a sergeant in the army in World War ii (although I didn’t know he was even in the Second World War until I was in my mid to late teens, and as I remember it, didn’t know he was a sergeant until some time after he died, which happened when I was about twenty-five) and my Uncle Mike who was a marine in Vietnam. Also, my great uncle Walter who was in the navy in World War ii, and my great uncle, Fr. Cecil, who was a Catholic chaplain in World War ii.
