Take 2 with Jerry & Debbie

What’s Your Favorite Motivational Maxim?

They’ve existed seemingly forever. Short, pithy statements often intended to convey some sort of inspirational or motivational message. Things like:

“Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful.”

“Self-care is not selfish. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.”

“Be loyal to those who are not present. In doing so, you will earn the trust of those who are present.”

“Don’t downgrade your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny.”

“If you are not content with what you have, you would not be satisfied if it were doubled.”

These are just five examples from literally thousands (millions?) of maxims that have been put forth over the centuries. Do you have one that has held special meaning for you? Share it with Jerry and Debbie on Wednesday, and let’s explore how our go-to maxims relate to our faith and spiritual lives.

A strong man stands up for others, a stronger man stands up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

    Also,

    Through adversity, comes greatness!

      Randy,

I’m kicking myself. I saw this during the show and intended to read it on the air. It just slipped my mind (not uncommon anymore LOL). But this is a great maxim. Thanks so much for sharing it with us, and for listening to Take 2!
