Take 2 with Jerry & Debbie

Volunteering: Do you feel appreciated?

Acts 20:35 – In all this I have given you an example that by such work we must support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
This shares importance of coming out of yourself and giving to others. Do you give of your time to others? What are some of the ways you help those less fortunate?
On Fridays TAKE 2 With Jerry and Debbie we will talk about volunteering. Be sure to join in the conversation.  Call – 1- 800-585-9396  or  EMAIL: Take2@ewtn.com   12pm ET on EWTN Radio.

Hi I thought I would let you know about what I do presently as volunteering. i am a 75 year old retired teacher. When I was teaching I didn’t have very much time to volunteer but I was active for the last 20 years with BirthChoice of OK as much as I could. It is a pregnancy resource center. When I retired at age 67 I was able to begin more ministry with the Church. So I now volunteer with Spiritual Life Committee, Catholic Daughters, facilitating a Bible Study, and on my own visiting others in nursing homes. I am pretty busy and love it.

I volunteer because I get to see, and touch, and love the face of Christ.
