Inadvertent Embarrassing Moments

Have you ever said or done something, only to soon realize that it was a faux pas of sorts? It could be that you cut into a line of people waiting for a particular service, not realizing that they were all waiting until someone pointed it out to you. Perhaps you made comments about someone, only to learn later that the person you were talking to is related to them. On Tuesday, Jerry and Debbie invite your takes on how you handled these inadvertent embarrassing moments. Jerry has a real doozy to share that actually involves Pope Francis. Don’t miss the show!

Have You Had a “Job” Period In Life?

On Thursday, Jerry and Debbie want to hear from you if you have ever been tested severely by life’s circumstances. This topic was suggested by a YouTube viewer named Mary. We’re using as our point of departure the incredible story of Job in the Old Testament, which describes Job as “blameless and upright, one who feared God, and turned away from evil.” Yet, God permitted all that Job had to come under Satan’s power (except Satan was forbidden to lay a hand on Job himself). Job – the innocent man who suffered so much – loses most of his family, his servants, his land and his livestock. For his patience and acceptance of suffering, without cursing God, Job is eventually given twice as much as he had before. Have you suffered tremendously? Were you able to gracefully accept those circumstances? Has your relationship with God been put to the test as a result? Let’s have another inspiring conversation on Thursday’s show.

Are You Able to Vacation This Summer?

Many states have been reopening following the coronavirus pandemic shutdown. Yet, almost on cue, some states are reversing course and preparing for another shutdown. As Catholic Christians, we know that leisure is an important part of life, in order to get refreshed and renewed. But this summer is unlike any in recent memory. Have you already taken a vacation this year? If so, how was it similar, and how was it different, from years past. If you haven’t been on vacation yet, how are you planning in light of how things are still going with the pandemic? That’s our conversation on Tuesday’s show. What Beneficial Life Change Have You Made?

Sometimes, we can get stuck in a bit of a rut in life. Routines. The familiar. The same old same old. Sure, we can maintain this way of life for a long time. Or, we can examine all of this on occasion and make some changes that can really revolutionize our lives. Has there been a change you’ve made that has been not only beneficial, but has really made your life a lot better? Let’s talk about this on our next fifth anniversary week show on Thursday.

Do You Struggle With Guilt?

On Wednesday, we will continue our fifth anniversary week of shows with another topic that you said was of particular interest during our recent survey. These are topics we’ve covered before, and this time we’ll revisit the issue of guilt. It’s something that can weigh us down, or that we can more or less place upon others. A healthy sense of guilt for our wrongs can be a good thing. But when it adversely affects our lives, then it’s time to shed it and move on. Please join us for what promises to be an insightful conversation.

TAKE 2 WITH JERRY AND DEBBIE 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WEEK!

Loved Ones Who Left the Faith

Monday is the start of our fifth anniversary week! Many of you answered our short survey over the last month or so, asking for the topics you would like us to cover this week. Leading off is a discussion of loved ones who left the faith. Sadly, that remains the number one prayer intention of faithful Catholics. Does that description fit someone in your life? If so, let’s revisit that important topic together on Monday.

Glorifying God Through Music

Is one of your God-given talents the ability to play a musical instrument? Music adds so much to life, especially when it’s done to the best of our ability and to bring glory to God. That doesn’t mean that there’s only one style of music that achieves those ends. The key is to acknowledge the gift the Lord has given you, and put it to the best and most noble use possible. Do you play an instrument? In what context? Did it come naturally to you? Or was it a struggle for you to learn to play? We’re looking forward to another great conversation with the Take 2 family on Wednesday.
