How do I become a saint?

become_saint.jpg

Join us on Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie as we discuss, with your help, the ways we can become saints.  The canonized saints in the Catholic Church are the best role models for us in our quest for holiness.  We can learn so much from their lives.  There are also “saints” in our midst, on their journey to heaven.  We are all called to be saints, but sometimes we just don’t know where to begin.  Let’s talk about it. 1-800-585-9396.

What did you do when you got the news?

shock_it_2_me.jpg

It has happened to most of us, the startling headlines of a newspaper, the horrible look on a doctor’s face when they share a diagnosis, or maybe the utter shock of receiving a “pink slip” at work.  These moments in life can be earth shattering.  Yet, as Christians, we are called to practice our Faith at all times, even when circumstances appear grim.  Let’s talk about how you have handled these jolting experiences and how your faith may have even grown stronger because of it.  Call in at 1-800-585-9396.

What are you waiting for?

later_m.jpg

We all have hopes and dreams.  Things we want to accomplish, goals we set for our lives.  Some of us have really huge dreams and can envision great things in our future.  Others have small achievements in mind but equally as rewarding.  Having all these thoughts are great if they can actually be put into action.  That is where the difficulty resides, taking the necessary steps to grab hold of those dreams.  Fear, insecurities, general feelings of unworthiness can paralyze the effort needed to explore and fulfill the vision for one’s life.  Let’s talk about, what are you waiting for?  Call in at: 1-800-585-9396.

How has the meaning of Christmas changed for you over the years?

changed_santa

Christmas is the time when we recognize and celebrate our Savior’s birth.  Jesus is the greatest gift we could ever receive.  However, as children we remember Christmas in certain ways, with Santa Clause, reindeer, material gifts and plenty of multi-colored lights.  As time goes on and we mature, Christmas can mean so much more to us especially when life circumstances play a part.  A death, birth, divorce, loss, illness or any other life situation can impact the view of Christmas in various ways, whether positive or negative.  Let’s talk about how the Christmas meaning has evolved for you over the years.  Share your life view of this magnificent Holy day of Christmas.  1-800-585-9396.

shopping-1

It is a shopping nightmare out there!  People pushing, shoving, impatient with one another.  Then, there are the well-meaning families that are struggling to maintain joy while shopping with their kids.  We have all seen and heard it.  The mom or dad shouting at their kids while Christmas shopping.  No! Stop it! Put it back on the shelf! We can’t go eat yet, I am not done getting gifts for everyone on my list!  If you ask me one more time, there will be nothing for you under the tree!  How does it always seem to happen, what should be the most glorious season of the year, instead brings out the worst in people in public. Well, we don’t have to give into this world and lower ourselves any longer.  We can turn our shopping nightmares into spiritual experiences.  Let’s put our ideas together and share them on Friday’s Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie.  1-800-585-9396.
