Dealing with Life’s Pressures

Meme- Jan 27 2020-Under-pressure

It is a pretty straight forward question we are asking today on Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie. How do you deal with life’s pressures?  We all have pressure in our lives, some more than others.  How do you cope with added daily pressure?  Do you pray?  Do you schedule in time just to relax?  We are genuinely interested and want to learn how you deal with this real issue that affects all of us.  Please call us at, 1-833-288-3986.

Praise Reports

Meme- Jan 21 2020-Thanks

We ask, we beg and we plead with God.  But do we ever take the time to praise God and thank Him for all the answered prayers?  Well, we at Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie are dedicating an entire show to thanking God for everything!  Please call in and shout to the world how grateful you are to God!  1-833-288-3986

Just Curious…

If you are not a Catholic but listen to Take 2 and EWTN, why do you tune in?  Gigi, our Inspired By Faith Book Club Facilitator suggested this topic out of sheer curiosity.  So please, would you do us the honor by calling in and sharing exactly why you listen to the show?  Maybe you tune in just to find out what Catholics are all about. Or possibly you listen because there is something being talked about that resonates with you.  Whatever the reason(s), we are genuinely interested and want to know…1-833-288-3986.

Do You Feel Trapped in Your Marriage?

Meme- Jan 10 2020- trapped marriage.jpg

To feel trapped is a horrible experience.  When one feels trapped in a marriage it complicates things even more.  It has been stated that people that attend Friday night “happy hour” at the bars for the most part do so because they don’t want to go home.  That can be a real problem and avoiding the situation will not by itself fix things.  But hope is real and available through the teachings of the Church, the Sacraments, and the programs sponsored by the Church to genuinely help, preserve, heal and protect the marriage. Let’s first identify this feeling of being stuck in the marriage and then let’s talk about the pathway to marital success the Catholic way. Call us at 1-833-288-3986.

Ten-Eighteen

T2 Dec 26 2019- 10-18.jpg

We are asking ten to eighteen year olds, with parents’ permission, if they can call in and share their views of God and the Faith.  How does our youth see God?  How do they explain God to their peers?  We know that most kids are back in school after the holiday break so if parents want to call in and share what their teens have told them about God, that would be helpful as well.  1-833-288-3986.

The Emotional Roller Coaster of Parenting

T2 Dec 10 2019- parenting.jpg

It would have been so helpful if there was a manual given to all parents about what to do with the range of emotions we would be feeling while raising our precious little ones.  On any given day or sometimes multiple times in 24 hours, parents may move through a gamut of emotions.  Parents can go through periods of complete joy and pride all the way to agonizing episodes of fear and worry.  It has been said, that a parent is only as happy as their saddest child. It is purely a roller coaster of emotions to be a parent, but let’s face it, we wouldn’t change a thing.  Not even all the gray hairs we have acquired over the years.  Parenting is a gift and it can be an exciting roller coaster ride of a lifetime if we view that way.  Let’s talk about parenting and more on Tuesday’s Take 2 with Jerry and Debbie.

Meaningful Gifts

T2 Dec 9 2019- gifts (1).jpg

This will be an interesting discussion on gift giving habits.  We are talking today about just how discerning people are when choosing Christmas gifts for others.  Many folks put a lot of time and effort into choosing just the right gift for their loved ones.  Others may see gift giving as an obligation and put very little thought into it.  Still, there may be some that just grab a gift on a whim.  Or how about the people that pray before purchasing or making each gift, mainly because they want it to be of God and meaningful for others.  Where would you place yourself on the gift giving spectrum?  Let’s talk about it and see if we can walk away with a better understanding of giving and receiving during the Christmas season. 1-833-288-3986.
