Praying for my husband who is suffering from multiple addictions. BUT, does not want outside help from either a therapist or priest. I pray for him as much as I can but I am struggling as well to be supportive of someone who does not want to help himself. It makes me angry at him and sad for him at times. Been married 44yrs. He has gotten worse as we get older. He is 65, I’m 64. He is still working, I just recently retired 2 yrs ago and shortly thereafter started to take care of my mother who fell and developed Dementia. She moved in with us for a year and half. Last 6months with hospice which was brutal to see her slowly fade away and forget to swallow. She also forgot me.. I thought she never would. She passed away in January 2023. During this time, my husband but was staying out all night and would come home in the early hours, shower, change and go to work. Worried he might lose his job if he is late to many times. We need his insurance to stay active as he had a quadruple by- pass in 2018 when he had a heart attack, I sometimes think he might have some sort of depression as well. He says he will stop but cant. He has TOO MANY ADDICTIONS to handle on his own and when he stops one he will jump to the other. Please pray for him TAKE2FAMILY he really needs to see that only GOD can help him, I have to turn him over to the LORD. He won’t listen to me any longer. I feel so alone…. he is receptive to prayer now and then but its not enough. HE HAS TO WANT TO STOP IT ALL AND ITS TOO MUCH! WHERE TO BEGIN??
