It is a misperception that bullies are insecure. Actually, bullies usually have unusually high self-esteem and enjoying winning, especially if they win at the expense of another person losing. They are dominant, powerful, and love to get their way and have little empathy or even thought about their victims, except perhaps to laugh at them, being self-absorbed and feeling stronger and smarter than other people.
