When I see a homeless person I think of my dear son who is mentally ill addicted to drugs and is begging in the streets of NYC and there is nothing I can do to stop him…
When I see a homeless person “There I go by the Grace of God” I look at him or her and I say a prayer. I pray to his Guardian angel to protect him/her. I wonder about their childhood. He/She is/was someone’s child. I know how I raised my son. Never thought he would had ended this way…I see his/her brokeness and my heart goes out to him/her…
If I had the means somehow I would dedicate my life to build shelters/homes for them. Everyone has the God given right to have a safe place to lay their heads…Please pray for my son Joseph that God protects guide and heal him. Please also for my two sons Nicholas and Gregory as well. All of them have an affliction of some sort. Addiction, mental illness and alcoholism. Please pray for me too.
