Take 2 with Jerry & Debbie

When Did You Discover EWTN?

Every one of us who listens to, watches, or reads anything produced by EWTN had that first moment when we discovered the network. For many it was part of their growth in the faith. Others may have had more of an “aha!” moment. Let’s head into the weekend – when we’ll celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of EWTN on Sunday – with a lively conversation about this!

  1. Hi Jerry and Debbie,

I wanted to post a couple of urgent prayer requests. First pray for a job situation with my present employer that i have been dealing with for the past three weeks, that it can be resolved quickly so that I can get back to work. Also please pray for my husband Jimmy, and his siblings Chester and Maria and me for comfort, and the repose of the soul of my mother-in-law, Carol, who passed away July 8,2021, for the repose of her soul, and peace for the discord and vitriol that has resulted in our family.

God bless you both in your work. Also to Debbie, please accept our condolences on the loss of your mom Connie. My mom passed away over thirty years ago, and I still miss her profoundly. And of course we are grieving the loss of Carol. It gets easier, but you never really forget. Thank God for you guys and EWTN! I found it in 1985, just after my mom passed away. Mother Angelica came along then, and at many other critical points in my life, including leading me into the Church in 2001. And of course, as part of that, I got introduced to the Blessed Mother Mary, as She really is, and not who I thought She was! She and Mother Angelica have both been mothers in my life. In fact, Mother Angelica is one of the powerhouse witnesses that I go to for intercession on a regular basis. I have no doubt that she will one day be a saint!

If you could please add my mother Elizabeth to your prayer book along with Jimmy, Chester, Maria and me, (Beth), that would be greatly appreciated. Also be assured of my prayers for you both your ministry.

    • Beth, God bless you for all that you’re going through. Please know of our prayers for all of your intentions and individuals. We will make sure they all get entered into our prayer book. And thank you for the kind words. We are humbled by them.
